I was raised in a loving Christian home and became a believer in Jesus at a young age. I have always felt immense compassion along with a sense that I have been created for a huge purpose. I longed for a community where I could flourish to change the world. Isn’t that what church is about? Throughout my years in the church, I saw increasingly more hypocrisy from its leaders and I became disenfranchised with religion. During that time I started playing music at youth group, joined a band, and used my musical abilities as the solution to never feeling alone. It was my plan to achieve my calling. Even though we made albums, signed record deals, and traveled all across the U.S. and Canada, my community slowly eroded and it left me broken.

When I got off the road I decided to start over. I found a small home church that helped me understand who I was and who God is. Who we are is our “instrument”, and when we allow God to flow through who we are we experience life like it was our favorite song. I learned that art is so much more than music, or painting. It is my unique expression of truth, and the more I grew in who I was and who God was the more music I made, it was a natural result of me being me. I gave myself over to the symphony that God wanted to play through my life. This led me to discover that God has given me a heart to care for His Flock. That is what a Pastor ought to do.

The leaders who started the home church eventually felt called by God to start MOLC. A place where people who were disenfranchised with the church could find a community to become everything God wanted them to be, and asked me if I desired to serve alongside them. I was honored and terrified.

I have been caring for God’s Flock for 7 years at Music of Life Church as the Associate Pastor. I have more energy now than when our church started. On September 27th, 2020, we begin Music of Life Church Appleton, a place where I get to help other people unlock who they are so that they can make music with God. I have accepted the role of Sr. Pastor of MOLC- Appleton, and think of this role as being a Producer. A music producer's job is to help the artist become MORE themselves so that they can create music that is unique.

So, who are you? How can I help you unlock the art that you desire to make?
